Cancer Insurance

Explore supplemental coverage designed around specified cancer-related expenses and benefits.

Medicare treatment coverage first

Part A can cover eligible inpatient cancer-related care and Part B can cover many medically necessary outpatient services, including some chemotherapy. Treatment location, admission status, drug administration and applicable deductible or coinsurance affect the bill.

Drugs may be in different parts

Certain cancer drugs given in a physician setting are covered under Part B conditions; other outpatient prescriptions can be covered under Part D if listed by the plan. Check the exact drug, route of administration and plan formulary.

A separate cancer policy is contract-specific

If considering separate cancer coverage, request the policy’s covered diagnoses, waiting periods, recurrence rules, payment triggers, exclusions and benefit caps. These terms are not established by Medicare’s cancer coverage guide.
