Life Insurance
Coordinate Medicare decisions with final-expense, income-replacement, and legacy needs.
Medicare covers eligible medical care
Medicare Parts A and B cover defined hospital and medical services. Medicare hospice benefits have specific eligibility and services; they are not a life-insurance death benefit or a beneficiary payout.

Costs to plan separately
When making a household budget, include Part B premium, plan premiums and possible cost sharing, then consider any separate financial obligations and survivors. Medicare’s cost table can quantify the medical components for a given year.

Require an actual life policy illustration
Term, permanent and final-expense insurance differ by contract. Request face amount, premium schedule, underwriting requirements, exclusions and beneficiary provisions directly from the insurer; Medicare.gov cannot validate an offered life policy.
