Medicare 101 Workshop
Read the official eligibility, enrollment and cost information that a Medicare orientation should cover.
Enrollment topics for a useful session
A Medicare orientation should cover when A and B start, automatic versus active enrollment, active-employer coverage, the two coverage structures and separate drug coverage. Confirm your own eligibility path with the official getting-started guide before applying a general presentation to your deadline.

Costs to put on the worksheet
For 2026, the standard Part B premium is $202.90 a month and deductible $283. Add any Part A premium, private plan or Medigap premium, drug spending, annual exposure and income-related adjustment that actually applies to you. The session cannot quote a personal plan without service area and plan year.

Questions worth bringing
Bring the names of your doctors, hospitals, prescriptions and pharmacies, and the date current employer or retiree coverage ends. Check whether your current drug coverage is creditable and whether an HSA contribution timing issue exists. Use the official plan comparison tool after the presentation.
